Our Story

MMSPhil Maritime Services, Inc. was originally established as Philasia Shipping Agency Corporation on 02 June 1982.  In the same year, the company received its accreditation certificate as a License Manning Agency from Philippine Employment Administration (POEA). On 09 September 2004, the company changed its name to MMSPhil Maritime Services, Inc. as a result in the changed of the shareholders structure.  This time the company is affiliated with MMS Co., Ltd of Tokyo, Japan – a Ship Management Company.

The company was granted a manning license from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) on 15 April 2003 to select, recruit, train and deploy qualified and internationally accepted Filipino seafarers on board its various vessels owned/managed by MMC Co., Ltd. and it’s other Principals.

For more than 40 years in the Manning Industry, MMSPhil has established a prominent reputation in supplying qualified, professional and responsible officers and ratings on board various types of vessels such as Bulk Carriers, (Handy size, Panamax , Donkey Max and Cape Size Vessels), Tankers (VLCC, MR, Aframax and LPG), Woodchip Carriers, and Pure Car Carriers. Through the years, MMSPhil catered its services to Ship Owners/Ship Managers based in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and United Kingdom with high sense of professionalism and responsibility.
